Here is an overview of what is included in each report:
Budget to Actuals
- Does not include beginning balance
- Does not include any balance sheet accounts (assets, liabilities, net assets)
- Includes budget, if any
- Includes encumbrances (PO, salary, fringe)
- Remaining Budget does not deduct fringe encumbrance
- Remaining Budget negative is bad, positive is good
Fund Balance Report
- Includes beginning balance
- Includes all balance sheet accounts (assets, liabilities, net assets)
- Does not include encumbrances
- Ending Balance credit (negative) is good, debit (positive) is bad
Budget Status (Beta)
- Includes beginning balance
- Includes net assets but does not include assets or liabilities
- Includes budget, if any
- Includes encumbrances (PO, salary, fringe)
- Remaining Amount deducts fringe encumbrance
- Remaining Amount negative is bad, positive is good
